An Introduction

"Do not fear Magic itself. Fear the human who calls himself a Mage."

- Bernard Lysoric

Welcome to the Royal Den.

Sit, eat, drink and sing – and let me regale you with a tale or two.

For those who do not know me, my name is Muhammed. I come from the city of Tuzla, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am a student of psychology, an artist (illustrator), an aspiring writer and most important of all – I am a Worldbuilder.

This page will be dedicated to my World, in which I am currently writing my first novel that I hope to publish soon. And when I do, then I have many, many more things that are set within this world, such as more novels, series, comics, Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and perhaps one day – a video game.

It’s a result of three years of meticulous and dedicated work, which started during one of my Dungeons and Dragons campaigns which I was a Dungeon Master of, in a city called Elderhearth.

At first, I led my players through that city alone, since it was imagined as a hybrid between Minas Tirith and a Warhammer 40, 000 Hive City – a megalopolis capable of holding millions of people spread across several levels, as high as a mountain – and it was a pretty much self-sustainable “ecosystem” that didn’t require me to throw in more cities, countries, kingdoms, etc…

But, as time went on, those things came along naturally. Suddenly, there were two more countries besides Elderhearth – the campaign was progressing. And little by little, the Continent (now called Pelaraam) was taking shape.

The campaign ended in a way that allowed me and my players to play a sequel of that story with the same characters, and we continued to play other campaigns. But I did not forget about Elderhearth.

I spent my idle daydreaming time focusing my efforts into organizing and building my World from the ground up. Reorganizing Elderhearth and its structure, its politics, the people within it; creating more countries, deciding upon the relations between them, populating them, inventing a magic system for it all (since the narrative is heavily reliant on mages and magic), etc…

Not long after that, the Continent of Pelaraam was conceptualized and I was working out the finer details – but I also knew that I cannot have a World with only one Continent.

So I added in seven more.

At the moment, not all of the continents are completed, but this is a work in progress, and this blog will serve as a certain journal of mine; to throw around ideas, write down whatever may be interesting, put my creative flow on paper, etc…

I hope that, in the future, fantasy lovers, nerds, connoisseurs of worldbuilding, Dungeon Masters and just people who are interested in creative ideas will find their way to this place, and I hope that you will enjoy in that which you find in here.
