Of Hunters, Anomalies and Aberrations

Image
Of Hunters, Anomalies and Aberrations Pelaraam is a beautiful place - rife with amazing landscapes, sprawling cities, magical locations that can take your breath away the first time and the 300th time you see them, animals and beasts of all shapes, sizes and colors, mages who do the impossible and many, many more breathtaking and wonderful things. But it is also home to unspeakable horrors. Twisted creatures of darkness who haunt the night, and leave deep gashes in the flesh of the innocent with their razor-sharp claws, taking away children as their food and endangering the safety and peace of the people. Haunted Castles, once glorious and mighty - now abandoned, and their halls filled with illusions that will play with and break even the strongest of minds. For decades - centuries, ghost stories, paranormal events and various tales of monsters in the night have been circling around, told by soldiers who returned home from a campaign, told by bards in taverns, told as be...

A bit about Elderhearth

Image
A visual representation of what Elderhearth might look like (it is surrounded by a much more jolly landscape, with green grasslands, forests, rivers and a bright blue sky) Elderhearth Elderhearth is a megalopolis that sprawls across hundreds of kilometers. It is built into a mountain, across Seven Levels. It has an ancient history, which you can read  here .  I will tell you about the Citadel of Magic as it is now. Firstly, Elderhearth is such a huge structure that it currently houses around 15 million people within its walls. And it is as tall as Mount Stonespike, the mountain into which it is built - which makes it around 5 kilometers tall.  The structure is so unique that the City of Elderhearth, if it could be spread out across the ground would easily be as large as a small kingdom. But Elderhearth isn't just the City of Elderhearth. It has many smaller towns around it, taking up a small portion of Pelaraam (the Continent which it is locate...

Current Timeline of Elderhearth - Part 4

This is part four of a short recap of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign through which Elderhearth came to be. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 In the following day, the Royal Den was rife with traffic. More and more people had started frequenting the tavern.  When the boys were all down in the tavern, a strange man came to pay them a visit. He called himself a wandering monk and had told Jack, Uther, Eph and Ash about a prophecy that might involve them. "The Four shall come again.  To conquer and to rule.  They will change the World, as they have done in the past.  The Kings of the World shall be unleashed, and they shall ride - with death at their backs and glory on their shoulders." He then was gone, as mysteriously as he had appeared. This left the guys wondering. Jack was looking for a certain item, a staff called The Blackstaff - which was said to be one of the most powerful magical items in existence. And so far, his clues had led him to...

Current Timeline of Elderhearth - Part 3

This is part three of a short recap of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign through which Elderhearth came to be. Part 1 Part 2 More context:  - Ephraim, when not doing jobs for Golden Mask, wears a fake identity and frequents the Merchant Level (three levels above the Common Level), where he swindles rich people in order to gain financial gain. Important note about Ephraim is that he comes from the Noble Level, which is one level below the highest level of Elderhearth - that is The Citadel, or the Royal Level. His father, Fado Gray is current Minister of External Affairs and oversees trading with other kingdoms outside of Elderhearth. Ephraim hasn't been home in 10 years, but he has retained all of his skills he learned as a young nobleman. The Gray family was loyal to the usurped Emperor Divinicus - which puts him at odds with most of the nobles who have chosen to side with Aggron. - Ashley is Uther's adopted brother. That is apparent because Ash has dark skin, and Uther...

Current Timeline of Elderhearth - Part 2

This is part two of a short recap of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign through which Elderhearth came to be. Part 1 here After a series of odd jobs, working for Golden Mask - the boys have managed to become owners of a quite popular tavern - which they re-named into The Royal Den. From there, they realized that it would be good for them to expand their influence a little. Since they were operating on the Common Level, a very fruitful ground for various shady businesses - they began planning their expansion. But - before they could do anything, on their opening day, they were visited by a certain individual. Linus Ta'em. He was the owner of Common Level Banks, and was the person who basically had almost every single business of Common Level in his pocket, pulling the strings, taking provisions and the like. Uther and the gang didn't like that. They openly defied one of the most powerful people in Elderhearth and basically told him to get lost. He didn't like that...

Current timeline of Elderhearth - Part 1

Before I begin with the short recap of the current status of Elderhearth, there are a few things that I want to say about it: The way it all came to be was through playing a Dungeons and Dragons campaign set within Elderhearth, in the year 1810 - which makes that 10 years after the Civil War.  In the war, many things happened, one of the notable ones being the notoriety of a certain special military unit that called themselves "The Golden Fangs", and within that unit were four certain individuals who have wrought havoc among Aggron Traitor forces. Their code names were The Faceless Phantom, The Moonlight Horror, The Great Gambino and The Colossal Knight - or known by their real names as Ephraim Gray, Jack Waylander, Ashley Wolfswood (adopted brother of Uther) and Uther Wolfswood. Those four were bonded brothers since childhood, each with their own specific set of skills and interests that melded together perfectly. They were a group of mischievous friends who w...

An Introduction

"Do not fear Magic itself. Fear the human who calls himself a Mage." - Bernard Lysoric Welcome to the Royal Den. Sit, eat, drink and sing – and let me regale you with a tale or two. For those who do not know me, my name is Muhammed. I come from the city of Tuzla, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am a student of psychology, an artist (illustrator), an aspiring writer and most important of all – I am a Worldbuilder. This page will be dedicated to my World, in which I am currently writing my first novel that I hope to publish soon. And when I do, then I have many, many more things that are set within this world, such as more novels, series, comics, Dungeons and Dragons campaigns and perhaps one day – a video game. It’s a result of three years of meticulous and dedicated work, which started during one of my Dungeons and Dragons campaigns which I was a Dungeon Master of, in a city called Elderhearth. At first, I led my players through that city alone, since it was imagi...
